Definition of anatomy
Anatomy is the study of structure and form of human body.
There are two types of anatomy:
1- Gross anatomy
Gross anatomy is the study of anatomy at the visible or macroscopic level.
2- Microscopic level
Microscopic anatomy (micro: small) is a branch of anatomy that relies on the use of microscope to examine the smallest structures of the body; tissues, cells, organelles and molecules . This study of tissues is called as histology.
